about
Courtney’s creative leadership experience in product, brand, and social impact at purpose-driven companies, award-winning nonprofits, Fortune 500 retailers, and breakthrough startups has provided her with unique insight into the brand experience and creating meaningful, systemic impact on both industry-wide challenges and customer-facing communication.
After beginning her career in 2004 at Ralph Lauren in design and product development, she saw a need to help purpose-driven companies tell better stories about the things that matter. She went on to spend over a decade working in the artisan sector with nonprofits and purpose-driven brands to build business solutions that bridged the divide between global apparel retailers and impact-driven design initiatives, particularly those involving indigenous artisans. These efforts prioritized culturally sensitive and thoughtful product development and storytelling, while also fostering partnerships that built trust, celebrated community, and enabled authentic brand storytelling.
Driven to more intimately understand consumer behavior and how data, human truths, and culture drive business, she went on to develop insight-driven creative strategies, seasonal campaigns and design driven solutions as a creative leader at in-house creative agencies for Stitch Fix and Walmart.
Her diverse background in design, product development, brand strategy, and creative marketing has provided her with deep insight of the multilayered, interrelated dimensions of the industry.
Her work is connected to long horizons of time, global perspectives and visions of a desired future.
“Through my experiences I've learned—and continue to learn—that the fusion and balance of seemingly opposing forces is often where the magic happens.
