Mercado Global — Over a 5 year period of time I strategized, built and spearheaded the design and product development program for Mercado Global, an award-winning and Clinton Global Initiative recognized non-profit that provides access to business training, community-based education programs, and micro-loans for technology to indigenous woman artisans in Guatemala. Initial efforts consisted of SWOT analysis of artisan's skill set and natural resources, domestic and international sourcing of ethically produced leather, hardware, yarn, and other trims. A merchandise strategy was built after an extensive research period to produce an affordable luxury accessories collection that highlighted the beautiful craftsmanship of master artisans in the highlands of Guatemala. I executed and led concepting, textile design, silhouette design, product development, and sourcing + creative direction of shoots for look books.
